A copious entrepreneur, a political strategist, researcher and computer technology analyst, Michael is best known for his founding of the African Democratic Dreams Project, a non-profit organization helping Nigerians and Africans realize their dreams through education, peace, and diplomacy.
Michael is a prolific writer and a public speaker, who is able to provide objective, thought-provoking insight on hot topics in different fields of discipline.
Michael has been featured on several local and international media outlets. He has delivered lectured and speeches at colleges, churches and communities in the United States and in Nigeria.
Michael's parents hail from Oyo State, Nigeria. His parents were disciplinarians and god-fearing. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson placed a premium value on learning, sacrifice, charity and hard work.
After graduating high school in 2001, Michael began a career as civil studies and English Literature teacher. He later taught the English Language for over four years. He studied Mass Communication at the Lagos State Polytechnic and graduated with an Associate Degree in Arts. While a student at LASPOTECH, Michael represented his school in the premiere essay competition organized by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations. Michael's essay was nominated for the first position. He was immediately retained into the college's workforce upon graduation. He later completed the professional exams at the NIPR, became a member and published his first book - Principles of Public Relations, which was adopted as an instructional material at the polytechnic.
Fueled by hunger to understand the working of the international diplomatic order, Michael enrolled at the Lagos State University for a degree in International Relations. He had two years left to complete his degree when he relocated with his family to the United States in 2010. Michael took the opportunity of the much enabling American system. He attended the Trinity Valley Community College, Athens, Texas and graduated with an Associate of Science degree in Computer Science (Business Related). He clinched first place position in a college rating exams where he represented TVCC Athens.
Michael, later on, enrolled at the University of Tyler, Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems. He had worked with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, then as a Business Analyst with Suddenlink Communications. He currently works as a Business Solutions Administrator with Daryl Flood Relocation and Logistics.
Michael is a member of the International Institute of Business Analysis.
He is currently working on his MBA program at the Dallas Baptist University, Dallas.
Michael has established three successful businesses since he arrived in the United States. On weekends Michael plays the saxophone or the bass guitar and leads gospel praise at his local church, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Bread of Life, Garland, Texas.
Michael is happily married to his wife, Rachel. They both have two princesses, Eunice and Bethel. Michael currently lives with his family in Dallas, Texas.
