Ben Echeverria

Ben Echeverria grew up in Nevada and went to the University of Nevada-Reno where he earned a B.S.(chemistry) and an M.A. (counseling and psychology). He also earned a J.D. in law, from California Western Law School, San Diego, California.

In 2013 Ben wrote his first book, Law Practice in Modern Educational Administration (2013, Fathom Publishing Co.).

As a Colorado lawyer, he was coordinating editor of a special issue on education law of The Colorado Lawyer (October 2015, The Colorado Bar Association) and contributed an article titled “Gun Violence on Campus”.

In 2016 Ben and his wife, Susan Kay McElhinney, established “B & K Freelance Writers and Publishers, LLC” in Colorado Springs, Colorado and currently do business as B & K Freelance Writers & Consultants.

Ben published his first novel, titled "Don’t Call Me Madam" (2017, B & K Publishers) in February 2017, and he is currently writing his second novel titled "The Customer", scheduled for publication in 2018.

Ben writes poetry and his favorite form is the modified limerick. He loves to write poems about doctors and the medical profession in general, all of which end with a punch-line.
