Andy Collins

Andy Collins lives in Brooklyn, New York and the Andy is short for Andrea. Born in 1973 near Seattle, she spent most of her life in Washington State before moving to New York with her husband in 2006. She grew up wanting to paint, make jewelry, and write stories, and has pursued all three as an adult. She loves science fiction, cycling through the five boroughs, cooking, experimenting with urban gardening, and built the loft where she once lived in Bushwick. Although she and her husband are now separated, they remain close friends. Departure is her second science fiction novel and the sequel to Cities of Protection, with the next installment already underway.
