Anne Zadek

Anne Zadek, formerly published as Anne Dana, is the award-winning author of the children's picture books Monsieur Pierre and Houdini Carini. Monsieur Pierre, her first children's picture book, won awards from the Beverly Hills Book Association and the Colorado Independent Publishers Association.

Her second children's picture book, Houdini Carini, tells the tale of a little girl that wants to be a "magnificent magician" but everything keeps going wrong. The book follows Houdini as she learns the secret to great magic tricks and all else that's important. The book includes instructions for a simple magic trick a child can learn, with practice! The book was inspired by the first magic act Anne ever saw on a grammar school stage at the age of 5. When that magician pulled a rabbit out of a seemingly-empty hat she was instantly hooked. She has been a fan of magic acts ever since.
