It was in 1994 that Michele Lando co-founded Skilset Communications with the purpose of guiding companies such as Akamai Technologies, American Express, Bank of America, Bosley Medical, Cisco Systems, Cedars-Sinai Hospital, Metropolitan Water District, Prudential Retirement, US Trust, Visa, and Wells Fargo, to name a few, to reach their full potential.

As a coach, Michele looks for ways to enhance the perception of her clients in their marketplace. She helps leadership align internal philosophies, behaviors and messages to create strength in the brand via congruence. As a result, she positively influences corporate cultures as well.

Michele believes that treating clients as business partners increases accountability and joy in the working relationship and is essential to delivering beyond expectations.

Her methodology is unique. Michele looks at everyone, and each objective they have, from the Inside Out. She walks her talk. She brings science, tools and wisdom to each client.

Prior to launching Skilset Communications Inc., Michele was a highly successful sales strategist (a top 2% female earner nationally by age 28). She then developed and delivered her first global marketing training program to thousands of worldwide sales associates of a Fortune 500 firm, achieving unprecedented results.

Since that time Michele has authored and delivered numerous programs, including her international IndiBrand training program, the CHOICE series, Communicate to Connect and DISCovering the Value of Your Team, along with countless leadership, sales and communications programs. Most recently, she became a Bestselling Author.

All of her coaching and training work is customized and takes various forms to ensure a maximized return on investment for each of her clients. As a popular speaker herself, she is often asked to provide her clients speaker coaching.

Additionally, with the rising popularity of TED talks, Michele was asked to be a speaker coach for TEDx two years running, activating some exceptional and popular talent.

Michele has held seats on a variety of boards. She grew up in Los Angeles and her formal education was at UCLA (go Bruins!). She continues to reside in Los Angeles today with

her husband and best friend of 30 years. They enjoy European travel — favoring Portugal!
