Ferrill Gibbs

Ferrill Gibbs is a writer, podcaster, and songwriter who lives in Weatherford, Texas. (He's originally from South Alabama.)

Ferrill freelanced for the Houston Chronicle in 2020, and produced a series called "Alabama Astronaut" about the undocumented music of the serpent handlers of Appalachia.

He experienced the Deepwater Horizon oil spill of 2010. Those memories serve as a backdrop for his coming of age tale, The Secret Island of Edgar Dewitt.
