Katherine Conaway

Katherine Conaway is a freelance writer, artist, and consultant. She’s been a digital nomad since June 2014, working remotely while traveling full-time. She has visited more than 55 countries so far, across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

Katherine enjoys writing about travel, the arts, education, and current events. Her first book, The Digital Nomad Survival Guide, was a 2017 collaboration with a fellow digital nomad she met on Remote Year in 2016. She wrote & illustrated her second book, An Alphabet of Fun Facts, after funding the print edition on Kickstarter in 2021.

Katherine was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She studied Mathematics and Art History at Williams College. After graduating, she taught abroad at American schools in Casablanca, Morocco, and Sofia, Bulgaria. Katherine worked in production at a digital design agency in Brooklyn for two years before becoming a freelance producer / project manager and marketing consultant.

Katherine serves on the Board of the National Juneteenth Museum and as their Content & Exhibition Committee Chair. She has taught two January terms at her alma mater, Williams College, of a Winter Study course she designed: Curation in Context — From Museums to Marketing.
