Morteza Hashemi is Assistant Professor in Sociology at the University of Nottingham (UK). His research fields are philosophy of social sciences, social and political theory, post-secularism, science and technology studies and identity, 'race' and ethnicity. His first book, Theism and Atheism in a Post-Secular Age (2017), has received Farabi International Writing Award. It also has been shortlisted for the British Sociological Association's Philip Abrams Memorial Prize.
