I blame my parents (don’t we all?), but when I say that, I mean it in a good way. I grew up in a world filled with stories, magic and fantasy with a healthy sprinkling of cynicism and scepticism to add some spice to the mix. Weaned on Tolkien, I chomped through Diana Wynne Jones as a kid and David Gemmell as a teenager, arriving at Ursula LeGuin, Robert E Howard, HP Lovecraft and Michael Moorcock relatively late (at university).
Having trained as a dancer, I quickly realised I was far more interested in playing with words and ideas. I brought my physical training to storytelling and have been making up stories ever since – on stage but also for businesses too.
But there’s always been that itch to write books! So, that’s what I did. It’s got to be the most fun thing one can do, and writing with someone else, as part of our ongoing artistic collaboration, has been especially rewarding.
Please leave a review if you read any of my books, it's amazing to get feedback.
