Gabriela Denise Frank is the author of "CivitaVeritas: An Italian Fellowship Journey." A writer of fiction, essay and poetry, Gabriela’s work contemplates identity, sexuality, aging, love, death, agency, gender and sense of self through a postmodern feminist perspective. Her explorations off the page unite literary art, installation and performance, transforming storytelling into experience.
In 2014, she staged A Novel Performance, a month-long installation during which she wrote a novel as a live performance. In 2015, she opened UGLY ME, a multi-media installation that explored concepts of identity through the medium of the selfie. A graduate of Artist Trust’s EDGE Development program for literary artists, her work is supported by residencies, grants and fellowships from Vermont Studio Center, Mineral School, the Civita Institute, Invoking the Pause, 4Culture and Jack Straw.
