R.A Jordan is Robert, I was born in 1969 just outside of Atlanta Georgia. I grew up in a little town (at that time) called Cumming, it is about 40 miles North of Atlanta. I never really left the area, I just migrated Northward to the next town as Cumming grew. Dawsonville and Dahlonega became home for a period of time.
I spent 26 years in the construction industry as a contractor, builder, and carpenter. When the economy tanked back in "08" it became difficult to get paid on certain jobs as a contractor.
I've been writing as a hobby for around 20 years or so, and often found myself scribbling something on a scrap piece of wood and later using it on that job. I filled up several notebooks in the early days of my writing most of which were stolen. My past few years have been fairly rough ones, and that's reflected in my writing, but not all gloom and doom, some of them are quite comical.
These are written as songs not poems, They're all written in verse, meaning every line rhymes. That's a style that works for me, I've tried many styles, but always come back to verse, It's my belief that I tell a pretty good story this way. Music has always been a passion of mine, and I know there's a few hits here. Otherwise I'm sure you'll find a great read, the next one will be out shortly, Thank You Robert A Jordan.
