Vele Keyta Y. Redding

Vele Keyta Y. Redding is an award-winning journalist, author, marketer and entrepreneur.

Her life and career has been a series of phenomenal experiences and adventures. Interviewing Author and Poet Dr. Maya Angelou, and covering Pope John Paul II’s visit to United States are highlights in her storied, journalistic career.

Redding holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Savannah State University, a Master of Business Administration in International Business from Atlanta's Mercer University and is a graduate of the Maynard Institute of Journalism Education's Management Training Program. She most recently earned graphic design certification from Clayton State University.

An experienced media professional, Vele Keyta has owned and produced numerous publications, including books and magazines. Having authored hundreds of published articles, she has one million+ words in print. A gifted writer with varied interests, she can be found crafting unique jewelry pieces in her home studio on those occasions when writer's block sets in.

Vele Keyta is a lover of humanity and a student of the world and its diverse cultures. Having visited more than 30 countries on five of the seven world continents, Vele Keyta lived in China for nearly four years and studied abroad in Russia as a requirement to obtain her MBA.

Not only does Vele Keyta collect elephants, she loves and rides them and once served as an honorary ringmaster in the Royal Hanneford Circus.

She lives near Atlanta with her family and rambunctious Shi Tzu.
