Michael Williams

Michael Williams is an historian of local Australia and of the Chinese Diaspora. His dissertation at the University of Hong Kong employed oral history and archival research to examine the links of the villages of the Pearl River Delta with the Pacific Ports of Sydney, Hawaii and San Francisco. He is a founding member of the Chinese Australian Historical Society. Michael also lived for many years in the rural NSW town of Dungog where he did much local history research into this lovely and fascinating town.

Publisher of many academic papers and books, Michael seeks to make his research more widely available outside university firewalls and at a lower cost.
