Shemya Vaughn

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor with 19 years experience providing services to individuals with disabilities and 15 years experience providing therapy to individuals with and without disabilities. I have been working with individuals within the trans community since 2010 via therapy and research.

I have a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Maryville University. I also have a Degree of Philosophy in Rehabilitation Counselor Education (PhD) from Michigan State University.

Presently, I am a Professor of Counseling at the College of the Redwoods.
