Blair Bowman

Blair Bowman, was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is the founder of World Whisky Day, first launched in 2012, which is now celebrated on the third Saturday of May every year and on every continent including Antarctica. He has been a whisky enthusiast since helping found Aberdeen University's Malt Whisky Society. He even wrote his dissertation on the history of sherry casks being used to mature whisky in Scotland. In 2014, he gave a TEDx Talk titled 'Whisky: Its not just for old people'. He currently writes for Scottish Field as their Whisky Columnist and is a contributing editor to the Cask & Still, Scotland's newest whisky magazine. In 2017, he set a world record by visiting 60 whisky distilleries in one day.

Blair Bowman is a whisky consultant and author. He hosts whisky talks and tastings around the world, specialising in multi-sensory and interactive whisky tasting experiences. He also sits on the judging panel for a variety of whisky awards and competitions.
