P T Ankon

Novelist P. T. Ankon has been writing fiction since the fifth grade. Over the course of more than three decades, he put his writing skills to work in everything but fiction. Working first as a journalist in Latin America, then as an editor in the publishing industry and finally, as a creative director in advertising. Over those many years, Ankon wrote several novels and books of poetry, all put into a drawer until he felt ready to release.

His motivation appeared in the form of indie publishing. Having worked in the publishing industry, Ankon knew that unknown fiction authors are rarely promoted and their works tend to languish on bookshelves and back rooms for years. He didn't want this for his novels, so when innovators like Amazon appeared, he dusted off his manuscripts, hired a professional editor and launched his indie publishing program. His full circle journey of returning to fiction was captured by a public radio program which features people who close the loop on unfinished life's work.

P. T. Ankon's first novel, THE RUNNING GAMES, is set against the background of the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. American distance runner Harry Robertson finds himself caught up in the winds of the coming war. A Nazi resistance fighter and a beautiful British covert agent each want Harry to help in their plans and intrigues. One of these is a plot to assassinate Charles Lindbergh who is scheduled to visit the Games, a plot with Harry thwarts.

Harry Robertson returns in P. T. Ankon's second novel, THE PHILADELPHIA INCIDENTS, to be released in February 2017. This novel reintroduces Harry as a defense worker in 1943 in a Navy facility which is separating uranium for use in atomic power. This facility becomes a supplier for the Manhattan project and as such, the target of a cunning double agent. Adding to the suspense, is the return of Harry's love interest from THE RUNNING GAMES, a former British agent who was captured and subsequently exposed to human-animal experimentation, leaving her mutated physically and emotionally unstable. We meet her again in this book as a clever serial killer intent on hunting down Harry.
