Isabel Pfister

I was born in New Jersey but moved to Texas when I was 2 years old. I grew up in Texas and Louisiana. I graduated from Texas Tech University in 1992. I am married to my high school sweetheart and have two kids. I started writing when I was in college and published my first book in 2015. Following the advice of "write what you know", I wrote my first book about a dinosaur getting his first pair of glasses. I got my first pair of glasses when I was four years old, and I did all the things Delbert does to try and get rid of them. I live in Nevada near the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I enjoy interacting with kids and hearing what stories they want to read. I take a lot of my illustrations from the inspiration of where I live. I enjoy writing and look forward to many more adventures for Delbert and my other characters.
