An award-winning author and former college professor, now teaching preschool music, Lorraine writes faith-based humor, humorous essays, short plays, and short stories. She lives in Aiken, SC and is mother to Michael (Danielle) and grandmother to Michael Jr.. Also founder and director of the community children's ensemble, Aiken Kinderchoir, and a Bible study Fellowship leader, Lorraine's publications have appeared in BELLA magazine, CATFISH STEW, PETIGRU REVIEW, and NIGHTS OF HORSEPLAY. In recent years, Lorraine received the Carrie McCray nonfiction award for her essay, "One Day on Oprah"; was a finalist in the SATURDAY EVENING POST limerick contest; and won top places in BYLINE MAGAZINE'S contests for humor and creative nonfiction.
