Rachel Schneider

Rachel Schneider is founder and CEO of Canary. Canary connects the latest technology and payments innovations to the innate and enduring human desire to help each other, enabling our clients (including employers, nonprofits and governments) to give individuals money at pivotal moments in their lives, with dignity and efficiency. Canary believes that the right money at the right time matters: it gives people the peace of mind and confidence to recover from emergencies and to invest in their futures.

Prior to founding Canary, Rachel lead industry and consumer research at the Financial Health Network, where she co-authored The Financial Diaries: How American Families Cope in a World of Uncertainty. Rachel began her career at Merrill Lynch, but credits her commitment to the potential for innovative finance to solve major social problems from her days as a VISTA Volunteer and her time at The Aspen Institute. She holds a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D./M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
