Sheila Reid, award-winning author, is one of few women artists exhibited and collected by 35 museums around the world. She studied art in Detroit and sculpture at the Beaux Arts in Paris. She began successfully working in Milan, Italy in 1972 where all her paintings of the first 5 years were sold.
Museums that have exhibited her works include; Palazzo Arengario in Milan, Italy;
the ICA in London; the Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon; the Utah Museum of Fine Arts in Salt Lake City; the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria in Canada; the Grand Palais in Paris; the
Musee de Luxembourg at the Paris Senate; plus many others in different countries.
ART & CREAKY BONES, Reid's latest book, has been awarded six literary awards and has been called « a stunningly beautiful book « by the critics.
Reid is particularly known for her book ART WITHOUT REJECTION which was used
in more than 200 universities for teaching 4th & 5th year art students.
