Laurie Morin

Laurie Morin is a writer, coach, and retreat leader who creates programs for women to turn their wisdom and experience into life-changing memoirs and nonfiction books. Her Writing for Empowerment community is a safe place to cultivate the inner writer in all of us.

Laurie's first book, Shero's Journey, told the story of how she gave up people-pleasing to live a more authentic life. She is working on her second memoir, Chasing the 1970s, a coming-of-age story about her search for identity during turbulent times. The book will explore the parallels between the divisiveness of the 1970s and our current political and cultural landscape.

Laurie believes that everyone has a story worth telling. Her Jumpstart program provides a roadmap for beginning writers, and her Writer’s Circle provides ongoing support for people who are committed to writing a book. She also leads Culture and Creativity retreats for people who are ready to unleash their creativity.

Laurie lives in Wilmington, North Carolina with her spouse and spoiled Yorkie Terrier Blondie. When not writing, she likes to walk on the beach, garden, and travel to cultural and sacred destinations. She has a white belt in Nia and is studying the ancient art of Qigong
