Austin Stevenson Owens

Austin Owens (b. 1977) was born in rural Kansas, and grew up in Blue Springs, Missouri. She has always had an interest in lettering and illustration. She is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and has a deep and abiding testimony of the teachings of the Savior.

When she was young, elementary school age, instead of doing her classwork, she would sneak her mom's fine felt-tipped marker and trace over the letters. She creates fonts, and loves to do lettering, and loves doodling. Over the years, a love of all three has led to combine her fourth love, a love of the Gospel, into scripture study illustrations.

Austin is married to Jonathan, and together they have four children. Austin homeschools her children, teaches French, middle school art class, and to her kiddos and other homeschooled kids. She is currently (11-2016) working with a fellow homeschool French teacher on illustrating a French teaching book.
