David Rose-Massom was born in 1950 in Southampton on the south coast of England and dreamed of being a writer for most of his life, but was discouraged by school and parents. It took him some 40 years to realise his dream of sitting in cafes and word juggling for hours each day. In order to earn a living while writing his novels he became a photo/journalist with work published in several lifestyle magazines for over two decades.
With his desire for creative writing growing he retired, broke but happy, according to him and he has now written and published on Amazon his debut novel, DEATH OF AN UNNAMED GIRL - on the launch he said, "the feeling of elation at seeing my two years plus of hard work in print is amazing and it drives one on to bigger and hopefully better things as a novelist."
Now 72 but still young at heart with a young man's drive to succeed. With an overwhelming desire to be a successful author, this does not mean financial success, although that would be wonderful, but to him it means publishing books that he is proud of and that readers enjoy the journeys that his stories take them on.
David's sequel novel A DELICIOUS WAY TO DIE is also available, now the plan is to begin work on the screenplays for DEATH OF AN UNNAMED GIRL. David has just completed and published his third KOBE KAAN novel, November 2023 entitled BLOOD AMONG THE ROSES where the hero Kobe Kaan arrives in his beloved Cornwall.
