Mike Newman

Mike Newman is a Yorkshire man who, despite writing part-time for many years, found instant success as a freelance writer and researcher specializing in medicine.

His first loves though, were, in equal measure, writing for children and humour.

Today, Mike has the opportunity to indulge and has started to compile a series of rhyming stories for children.

His past career as a teacher does though make him very aware that, even today, many children fail to find pleasure in reading and this often carries though to adulthood. Living a life without knowing the pleasure and knowledge that can be derived from the written word, often drives him to create books which target those who are missing out - the reluctant reader.
