I have been riding horses since I was about 2 years old. As a child, I didn't play with dolls, I played with Breyer horses! I still have most of those horses (my collection is rather impressive). I started writing in 1990. My first book, however, was never published - I was too afraid to submit it. In the early 2000's I started writing articles for magazines. It was nice to see my name in those magazines.
Then, in 2008, my first story, A Friesian Christmas, came to me in the middle of the night. It's about a Friesian horse who pulls Santa Sleigh. I shared my story with friends and family every year at Christmas. Then in 2016, I had it illustrated and published, so I could share my story with everyone.
That was the start of the Horsey Holiday Series. There are currently 5 books in the series. All books tell a bit about the breed, and I hope, bring out the child in all of us.
I am currently working on more of the Horsey Holiday Series, as well as other writing projects.
I currently live in Colorado with my husband, my Newfoundland pony, Maudie, and my Beagle, Belle. When I'm not writing fiction, I'm a Quality Specialist and ISO auditor in the medical device world.
