James Cressler

Author of Demimonde, Diary of an Oak Tree and Sobriety Island, James Cressler also a freelance writer for two non-profit organizations. An avid bicyclist and walker, Jim gathers fantasy-fiction writing ideas and materials firsthand on the many Florida cobblestone streets and trails. The flora and fauna he captures in stories actually exist, and with his imaginative writing, we not only learn the animal’s language, we understand how they live in a land of giants, mankind.

James grew up in Nucla and Naturita, (Uncompahgre Plateau Southwest Colorado) during the 1960's and 70's uranium mining boom. He is the son of Harold and Dorothy Cressler, and a 1975 graduate of Nucla High School and Valencia College, Orlando. He served in the Army over twenty years, and worked twelve more in the refrigeration industry before retiring from the workforce. He lives in Central Florida with his wife Julia.
