First book: A Faint Fuzzy Danger

At its core, this book is about perspective. I wanted to explore how different beings, human or alien, can witness the same event and walk away with entirely different interpretations. In a world where misunderstandings can spark conflict, that's a powerful theme.

My aliens don't think like humans, they think well, but differently. It's a challenge inspired by sci-fi icon C.J. Cherryh's advice.

The story began as a shared project with my father after mother passed away. I wrote chapters, brought them to dad and together we'd brainstorm where to take the adventure next. It helped to distract father from his grief. Unfortunately. dad died while we were working on chapter five. I'm sure it would have been better if he had finished it with me. After his death, I set is aside for years. After I finally retired, i decided he would have wanted it finished.

I went on to write four more books in the Faint Fuzzy series, four in the Alone series and two in the parade series. More will follow.

I have degrees in Economics and Environmental Engineering and worked 45 years in municipal water and wastewater systems. But my true love has always been astronomy and sci-fi. At age eight my first scope was an Edmund Scientific Moonscope. One scope led to another and eventually astrophotography. I bought the cover for A Faint Fuzzy Danger but then realized I could produce covers from my astrophotography photos. All subsequent covers feature my photos.

I hope my work lads you to question how you react to the unknown, and why others may react differently. In a world full of clashing opinion, I urge you to pause, listen and to understand other's perspectives.

Reader feedback is my dopamine.
