A.J. Bissett

A.J. Bissett is a Dallas, Texas educator of the arts. In her free time she enjoys painting, writing, reading, indie films and documentaries and mindless daytime t.v.. She has a soft spot for helping others suffering from alcohol and drug addiction, and is currently in her ninth year of sobriety.

She was raised east of Dallas, and after high school moved to San Francisco to go to art school and become a fashion designer. When she realized she wasn't a natural pattern maker she switched to fashion journalism, which led her to intern for magazines in New York City. After the brutality of living in New York grew tiresome, she moved to Portland, Oregon and consumed delicious food for a year since jobs were sparse in 2010, and moved back to Dallas before it rained again. Filmmaking, advertising and stage design is something A.J. would love to pursue.
