Elvis Slaughter

Elvis Slaughter, MSCJ, is a former president of the Illinois Academy of Criminology, and retired Sheriff's superintendent with more than 30 years of experience in criminal justice and law enforcement. Elvis holds a Master’s in Criminal Justice and Corrections, Bachelor’s degree, and an Associate’s in Electronic Engineering. He is an author of nine books, and he has taught criminal justice at the college level as a part-time criminal justice instructor. He has received many awards over the years and has held no-salaried board and administrative positions with nonprofit organizations such as the NAACP and Citizen’s Alert. One of Elvis' goals is to pursue a PhD in Public Safety. Elvis is married with three adult children. His older daughter and son in-law are dentists. His other daughter holds a Master’s in Public Administration and specializes in fundraising and project management. His son is a graduate of Purdue University specializing in IT.

Elvis is also a workshop presenter, criminologist consultant, and speaker.
