James Reevell is a teacher, author and examiner with extensive experience in delivering GCSE and A Level Music and Music Technology courses in secondary schools and sixth form colleges. He writes and produces music under the name RVEL, which he describes as ambient, chilled and cinematic beats. James studied Music at the University of Durham, for a Masters in Education at Manchester Metropolitan University and has experience teaching primarily in sixth form colleges across the North of England. He is currently based at Greenhead College in Huddersfield, and also works as a freelance consultant for Music and Music Technology. In the past, James has worked as a Subject Leader for Visual and Creative Arts with responsibility for courses in Art, Dance, Drama, Music and Music Technology, heading up a faculty where results in Music Technology were described as 'exceptional' by Ofsted in 2013. As an author, James has authored and contributed to study and revision guides for A Level Music, A Level Music Technology and GCSE Music, and written articles for various publications.
