Sebastian Edmond

Sebastian Edmond has never fit the mold as a typical... anything. And that’s a good thing.

Born and raised on Long Island, Sebastian has dabbled in various professional and leisurely outlets throughout his relatively short, yet fulfilling life. He’s been known as a son, a nephew, a friend, a teacher, an engineer, a director, a DJ, a producer, and a commentator, and the list just keeps growing.

Currently residing in the Capital Region of Upstate New York, he works as a Director for WRGB, the CBS affiliate in Albany and one of the first television stations ever. His day-to-day duties include collaborating with the station’s morning crew to put out about four hours of local news, while specifically controlling all audio and visual aspects in the fully automated TV studio and control room.

The world of broadcasting is not the only avenue that Sebastian has a deep love for. He’s dedicated over a decade to Mixed Martial Arts training and has attained a 3rd Degree Black Belt and Head Instructor status from Victory Martial Arts in West Islip, NY – even though you’d never guess that from his naturally laid-back and friendly demeanor. He is a lifelong WWE fan and practically a walking professional wrestling encyclopedia. He also is an avid sports fan, salsa-ing with the New York Giants every Sunday, reminiscing about the 90s Yankees, thanking various deities that the Rangers have Henrik Lundqvist, sitting in awe during a Barcelona counterattack, and ripping his hair out watching Arsenal.

The role that music plays in Sebastian’s life goes without saying. He picked up drumming and the piano at a young age, and it gave him the foundation for the constant music production and DJ work he does in his spare time. A slew of just about every genre can be found on his phone, ranging from Linkin Park, Rise Against, The Notorious B.I.G., Daddy Yankee, Swedish House Mafia, Ludovico Einaudi, and everything in between.

Most importantly, in the future, Sebastian hopes to add a few more titles to his list: entrepreneur, doctor, world traveler, husband, father, and anything else that he may dream of today, tomorrow, or somewhere down the line.
