Hakan Butuner

Dr. Butuner has been active in both professional and academic life for several years. Currently, he is an associate professor in the Engineering Management Graduate Program of TED University, an instructor in the IISE Training Center, a business consultant at IISE Solutions and running IMECO (Industrial Management and Engineering Consultants.) Also, he is a member of the International Operations Board of the IISE as the assistant vice-president of the Middle East Region.

During his long career path, as an industrial engineering and management professional, consultant, academician, and trainer, he has completed over 100 professional projects (in Strategic Planning, Facilities Design, Operations Improvement, Business Process Reengineering) and developed and deployed many training programs and workshops.

Also, as a featured author in T&F, a writer in ISE Magazine, and as a Planning-by-Design-based developer of Systematic Strategic Planning, Systematic Planning of Business Functions and Target-Based Systematic Improvement Planning methodologies with their software, he has several cited books and papers published by the world-renowned publication houses and journals.
