Daphne Greer

Daphne Bach Greer is a grief advocate, speaker, and author dedicated to helping others find hope and healing after loss. Raised in a small ranching town in eastern Oregon, she graduated from Western Oregon University and spent years working as an adult parole officer before her life's purpose shifted following the tragic death of her five-year-old daughter, Lydia, in a 2008 car accident.

In 2011, Daphne co-founded Lydia's Love, a nonprofit providing birthday celebrations to children in need. She now serves on the board of directors for Ellie's Way, an organization providing hope and outreach for the bereaved. She also served on the steering committee of The Compassionate Friends.

Daphne is the author of Barely Breathing: 10 Secrets to Surviving the Loss of a Child, Mending Hearts with Threads of Hope: A 30-Day Devotional for Bereaved Mothers, and co-author of Grief Diaries: Will We Survive. Her writing has appeared in Her View From Home, The Mighty, and numerous books and publications. Through her growing online community, Grieving Gumdrops-The Sweeter Side of Grief, Daphne writes about navigating grief with faith, grace, and unexpected moments of sweetness.
