Susan Schubert

I am a writer of poetry and prose. I started writing when in college , in journals and school newspapers. Then I took a trip to Europe for independent studies. I wrote a journal , each day descriptions, poems, things to remember from my adventures. 45 years later I made it into a book, complete with photographs and the poetry, of course. It is called "The Way I Remember It'. I am happy to share my experiences with the world. Everyone who has read it, likes the impressionistic flavor, the travelogue feel to it and they ,too, want to go there. I traveled to Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain, France, Germany, Belgium and Holland, with great visuals about Ireland and Scotland.

A sequel to the book , "My Place of Dreams , A Love Story", as I go back to the place where I had fallen in love with a Bonny Scotsman. I take my friend Fiona and we travel through Scotland and back to the Isle of Skye and then Ireland. Skye is where my heart still lies. Skye is where I need to be.

I am also a photographer and do shows on Washington Island, Wi. where we have a farm. My photographs all have poems to go with them. My photographs were taken with Pentax 35mm.back in the 70's. Now I use my I phone . There is a book , the third , about my hew life with new husband and how my first book got us other.. our story , our trip back to Scotland and Ireland.. coming soon.
