Gail Kearns

Gail Kearns, the editor-in-chief of "The Gourmet Girls Go Camping Cookbook," is a self-proclaimed ‘Book Sherpa’ who has been helping writers through the self-publishing process for nearly twenty years through her company To Press & Beyond. Assisting authors in shaping their books is her passion.

She holds a BS degree from Hunter College, City University of New York. After college she spent many years in the motion picture industry as a production coordinator and development executive, working with screenwriters and scouting for books that would make good movies.

Born in Bennington, Vermont, and raised in Montpelier, she now lives in Santa Barbara, California.
