Michael J. Awe

Michael J. Awe is a German writer based in Bonn, born in Münster in 1973.

His work spans novels, short fiction and essays that move between science fiction, the fantastic and historical material. He is drawn to memory, perception and history — and to the question of how people narrate their own past and future.

Since 2013 he has co-edited the long-running speculative fiction anthology series GEGEN UNENDLICH and written the blog Datenhafen, covering literature, digital culture and possible futures. His stories have appeared in numerous German-language anthologies and magazines.

His books include the novels "Der Neiding" and "Luna One", as well as the short story collections "Der Lufthändler" and "Global Offshore" (co-authored with Silke Jahn-Awe).
