Jeremy A. Mutz

Jeremy is a Florida-based author of mysteries and thrillers. He's a former prosecuting attorney under Tallahassee's Willie Meggs. Jeremy served in a felony trial division, later as a division chief, training most of the new prosecutors in Tallahassee. Afterwards, he started his own law firm in Daytona. Jeremy returned to Tallahassee to work for Attorney General Ashley Moody. He's worked for a legal aid office assisting survivors of Hurricane Michael and other indigent clients. At one point, Jeremy was a loss prevention officer and an Auxiliary State Trooper. He is now a criminal defense attorney in the Florida Panhandle. Jeremy's a frequent guest on true crime podcasts including Wondery's, "Over My Dead Body," which hit Number One on Apple in 2019. He's appeared as a guest on "Surviving the Survivor," "AA Legal Focus," and the "Law & Crime Network," besides appearances on Court TV, WTXL, and 100.7 WFLA speaking about the Dan Markel, Henry Segura, and Shanna Gardner homicide cases.
