Laxmi Parasuram

Dr Laxmi Parasuram retired as a Professor in the University of Burdwan in West Bengal. She received her Masters and PhD from the University of Kentucky.

Dr Parasuram came from Kerala and now lives in Kolkata with her husband. She has two children living in the UK and USA. She had been a recipient of two Fulbright awards and is the author of four novels, ‘Entrapped in Academia’, ‘Pursuit of Freedom’ 'Memoirs of Rebellion' and 'American Impressions'. She has many years of teaching experience and has travelled widely to give lectures and participated in conferences worldwide. She is an active member of Soroptimist International, a global association of working women
