Rimina Mohapatra

Rimina Mohapatra is an author, editor, and Publishing Manager at Routledge & CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group. Based in India, she currently oversees global books editorial research teams of Europa, Development Editorial Research, and special projects for Advanced Learning. Her academic publications include the books Hegel’s India: A Reinterpretation, with Texts (co-authored, 2017/18, Oxford University Press) that was nominated for the Tata Literature Live! Book of the Year Award 2017 (Nonfiction), and Reading Hegel: The Introductions (co-edited, re.press, 2008/13).

With over 18 years of experience in academic publishing, and the making of over 1,000 print and eBooks at Routledge, she has collaborated with authors, editors, institutes, researchers; managed multiple projects and book series; led editorial, production and design teams; and has had an integral role in the development of the Routledge India editorial programme in South Asia founded in 2005, publishing academic books in the humanities and social sciences. She has fostered content and publishing partnerships that contribute to the academic field and professional practice for global and the global south academic communities. In addition, she has delivered lectures and conducted workshops for researchers and faculty on academic publishing and writing, been part of publishing panels, and moderated events and discussions, including at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, IIIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, Jawaharlal Nehru University, ICSSR-Institute of Social Sciences, UGC, St. Stephen’s College, Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, Daulat Ram College, Forman Christian College, Lahore, Government Brennen College, Thalassery (Kannur University), Ashoka University, Bennett University, and University of Tübingen.

She has been the key liaison for editorial desk production for the Routledge India list as well as the editorial contact point for several departments, including marketing and business information, production, sales, inventory, finance and operations, contracts, royalties and rights teams. She has led and designed key content, communications, and events projects, and serves as part of the senior leadership at T&F India.

She completed her postgraduate and undergraduate degrees in Philosophy from St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi, and MPhil in Philosophy from the University of Delhi, India. Her MPhil dissertation is a Kantian critique of linguistic minimalism of Noam Chomsky entitled ‘Problem of Method in Linguistic Inquiry: How is Biolinguistics Possible?’. She was Junior Specialist at the Department of Philosophy, University of California Santa Cruz, USA, and Junior Research Fellow, University Grants Commission of India.

She has eclectic interests in philosophy, literature, sciences, cinema, technology, multimedia, and the arts. She writes poetry, essays, fiction, and has interests in art, music and photography. Her first instrumental music album ‘The Dream of Helen’ was released on SoundCloud.
