It has been wonderful to put my stories into a format where others can easily read my novels. Although I picked up writing at age fifty-one, the thought of publishing a written work was always on my mind. It wasn't until I was confined to a hospital bed for close to four months that I decided to write my first novel. A person can only stand so much of staring at the ceiling of a room in a hospital therefore, I concentrated on putting together a fictional story from start to finish. Once I was discharged, I was confined to a wheelchair pending the fitting for a prosthesis, I almost immediately began to put the story on paper using our home computer. A year later, Rainbows Shed Tears on the Sunset was completed. It was published through Amazon, and I could not have been more pleased. I continue to write having just published my fifth novel, Gladys Gold, followed a year later by my sixth book, The Pennymen Papers. I enjoy time with my Family, taking advantage of the great outdoors as much as possible. Residing in south Florida has a great advantage of having warm weather basically year-round. Camping, fishing, boating, are some of the activities which have kept my family close. These kinds of activities stimulate thoughts and scenes I work into the novels I write. My family have trailblazed thirty-nine of the sixty-three National Parks of America and for me personally, it has been all on one leg.
