Michael Edward Stewart

Michael Edward Stewart is an honorary Fellow in the School of History and Philosophical Inquiry at the University of Queensland. He has lectured on Late Antiquity, Early Christianity, Byzantium, the Crusades, and the Black Death. His research focuses on issues of culture, gender, and identity in Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages.

He is currently editing the forthcoming Routledge Handbook on Identity in Byzantium.
