Christie B. Dalley was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and lived all around the state growing up. She graduated from Brigham Young University and always wanted to be a writer. She got her wish when she spent ten years as a reporter for the Provo Daily Herald where she loved to do human interest stories.
She was also fascinated by the history of her great grandmother, Charlotte Degrey because she inherited her cupboard which was a hand me down from her husband, George Baddley's first wife. It had to be cut off on the top to fit her smaller house.
Christie lives in Highland Utah with her husband, Dave, and has eight children and 28 grandchildren so far. She loves to read, write and keeps a daily journal to help sort out the internal arguments she sometimes has with herself.
