Matthew Shuck

Matthew Shuck is a prolific storyteller from Keizer, Oregon. He writes across a range of genres, including horror, children's stories, satirical comedies, and dystopian sci-fi. Matthew is driven by a deep desire to explore what it means to be human, and he brings his unique perspective to each of his works.

By day, Matthew works a full-time job and takes on side projects to support his beautiful family. He prioritizes his fatherly duties and often wakes up at 5am to write before the rest of his household begins stirring. When he's not behind a computer, Matthew enjoys taking his family on hikes and day trips throughout the Mid-Willamette Valley, Oregon's beautiful coastline, or the high desert east of the Cascades.

Matthew's writing is characterized by a compulsive need to get the stories out of his head. He never assumes that writing the end of a story will bring him peace; instead, he finds that finishing one story only leads to three more ideas begging to be put down on the next blank page. But despite the challenges of writing, Matthew remains dedicated to his craft and is constantly exploring new avenues of storytelling.
