Margaret Webster

Margaret Webster grew up in Connecticut. She has had a lifelong love of the outdoors, travel, and exploration. As a child, she aspired to be a cross between Jacques Cousteau and Robert Ripley of Ripley’s Believe It or Not.

After raising her two sons in Connecticut, she found herself once again single and not satisfied with an empty house. So, with little planning, and an abundance of adventure bubbling inside of her, Margaret embarked on a solo cross-country odyssey that essentially lasted six years. She had been working in an information technology career that allowed her to work anywhere she could get an Internet connection. Although most of her colleagues worked from home, she decided that her home would be wherever she laid her hat, and she just traveled for the love of traveling. She loaded up her pickup truck with her laptop, tent, camping gear, bicycle, and kayak and went in pursuit of adventure and discovery.

On the occasions that she would wander back to her home base of Connecticut, she would regale her friends with her travel stories, epiphanies, and tales of strange encounters and silly situations she had gotten herself into. After writing a travel blog, Lessons from the Road US, and receiving encouragement from friends, “Muggy” decided to write a book—this book. She officially got rid of her house in 2014, bought an RV, and became a full-time digital nomad, wandering around the world wherever the proverbial wind blew her.

Margaret is currently a goal-manifesting life coach, specializing in helping women and men get unstuck in their lives so that they can achieve their goals and obtain lives they dream of, and, ultimately, be happy. She conducts speaking engagements and workshops and holds travel retreats—she prefers to call them advances, as the word retreat denotes surrendering and an advance is for moving your life forward. These advancement events are for those seeking life change, encouragement, fun, and adventure in their lives. Margaret also will be organizing vacation packages to places that she has visited and knows well. Plan to join Margaret on a vacation or a transformative advancing adventure or courageous expedition. Let’s have fun exploring this wonderful country and the world!
