Angels Almazan

Àngels Almazán Ordóñez is an author and sculptor from Sant Boi de Llobregat whose work moves between sensitivity, imagination, and a deeply human gaze toward the emotions that shape us. With sixteen published books and a steady presence in the cultural landscape of her region, she has built a distinctive voice that blends narrative delicacy with an artistic intuition also expressed through clay. Her literary career includes novels, short stories, and works that explore fragility, inner strength, and the subtle nuances that define human experience. In 2023 she was a finalist for the 2024 Letrame Awards with Nadia and the Storm, and that same year her noir short story was also selected as a finalist at the Sant Boi Negre festival, further establishing her presence in the contemporary literary scene.

Her sculptural work, exhibited in cultural spaces in Sant Boi, Igualada, Papiol, and Molins de Rei, engages in an intimate dialogue with her writing: a search for form, identity, and emotion. Each piece emerges from a gesture that seeks to capture what cannot always be expressed in words, just as her books aim to illuminate what often remains hidden in everyday life.

Committed to cultural outreach, she regularly participates in fairs and events such as Sant Jordi, La Puríssima, La Mostra de Sant Vicenç dels Horts, La Candelera, and Lletres a la Plaça in Canyelles, where she shares her creative universe with readers. In 2025 she was recognized as a local artist at the I FÒRUM DE LES ARTS I LA CULTURA in Sant Boi de Llobregat, an acknowledgment of her artistic path and her strong connection to the territory.

Her work, both written and sculpted, rests on the same conviction: art is a space where emotional truth takes shape, where every story and every figure is born to accompany, move, and leave a lasting imprint.
