ALEXANDRE AURELIUS R.

Alexandre Aurelius(Alejandro Aurelio Ripoll Ferrando) holds degrees in Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, and Criminology, as well as a Master’s in Victimology and Criminology. He works as a Professor at the University of Valencia (Spain) and also collaborates with the Valencia City Council on programs aimed at the reintegration of young offenders.

At the blurred boundaries between history and myth, between reason and revelation, moves the writing of Alexandre Aurelius. His work flows naturally through a territory where the real is touched by the sacred and the everyday acquires ancient resonance. It is there, on that frontier, that his heroines, figures of tragic radiance arise, and his villains, grotesque mirrors of human folly, take shape in stories that shift between the dramatic, the symbolic, and the poetic.

Aurelius cultivates a narrative of dense atmospheres and meticulously crafted language: a Mediterranean baroque, sometimes lyrical, sometimes raw, that turns reading into a sensory journey. His tales, though rooted in a harsh and tangible world, pulse with echoes of a mythic and quasi-religious universe, where human passions intertwine with the designs of fate.

His literature is a mirror where mystery and beauty, fall and redemption, matter and spirit coexist. Within it are woven ancient mythologies, forgotten symbols, and vestiges of lost civilizations that resurface, like living ruins, under the gaze of the present.

Some of his works have been published together with his enigmatic partner and translator, Jéssica Matanzas, with whom he shares a rare sensitivity toward the arcane, the feminine, and the sacred. Together, they have created a series of titles in which sea, memory, and myth intertwine in a literary geography belonging, ultimately, to all the dreams of the Mediterranean.

Alexandre Aurelius is also the author of numerous poetry collections, essays, and articles.
