SARAH THRIFT is an author, professional speaker and strategy expert. She has 16 years experience working with organizations, both for profit and nonprofit on strategy, business development, change management and leadership. She teaches strategic management both in the US and Europe. Sarah’s clients include Fortune 500 companies, large NGOs and beyond.
In 2008 a client asked Sarah to develop a course on strategy, promising that if she did he would bring along his CEO friends. Since then the demand for Sarah’s courses has grown and she has taught the material to hundreds of executives. Designing a Strategy that Works was born from these strategy courses and has provided Sarah a way of partnering with you and your organization to solve entrenched problems, develop strategy and deliver results.
Sarah also frequently writes on strategy, leadership and organizational culture and has been featured as a strategy and organizational expert by media across North America including Bloomberg Businessweek, Reuters, New York Business Journal and San Francisco Business Times to name a few.
She launched her career at McKinsey & Co. in London where she advised organizations across a range of sectors including healthcare, technology, consumer goods, financial services and nonprofit. She subsequently worked for the UK Treasury advising the Chancellor on Corporate Governance issues, and then ran a 250-strong sales force for an IT company. She has also spent time working in Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa with hospitals, schools and orphanages to build and create sustainability.
Originally from London, Sarah graduated top of her class from Imperial College London with a Master in Mathematics.
