Author, educator, youth mentor, program developer, inspirational speaker and hip hop artist Lamont Pretrell Muhammad grew up in foster care in California’s Bay Area. He is a graduate of Wartburg College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in reading. He is also a graduate from the University of Northern Iowa with a Master’s Degree in K-12 Principalship. I later went on to pursue and gain a Master’s Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in K-12 Principalship. He has served 11 years in the educational field. During these years he has 1st Grade, 3rd Grade and 8th grade as a Literacy Teacher. Prior to teaching third grade I taught one year of first grade. He currently serves as an administrative role at the high school level.
"As an educator my desire and mission is to use education as a tool to inspire and cultivate the innate gifts and talents in each of his students. Furthermore, he desires that students to in turn use their education, gifts, and talents to serve their community, nation, and world."
