Dr. Goose Bio

I have been working with children of all ages for over 30 years. His writing style is descriptive enough to give children a basic idea of what the characters look like while sparking their imagination to fill in the details. His books are specifically designed to help children develop their imaginations.

I like to write stories that take children to exciting new places which are a composite of blended cultures, making the characters and settings in my stories exciting and different but with enough familiarity to provide a foundation upon which children can paint their own mental pictures of the setting and characters in the stories.

I write stories for children of all ages. I believe it is important for parents to read the age ranges for each book. Doing so will help to ensure their child is reading a book appropriate to their developmental level.

In our modern, technologically advanced world, children have everything done for them, in books, on T.V., in movies, and in electronic gaming, and as a result, they have difficulty with creativity. Developing one's imagination is a benchmark for developing creativity. Some are specifically not illustrated for this purpose. Dr. Goose books are designed to develop a child's imagination. I suggest that parents who wish to help their child in this process provide paper and colored pencils or crayons and ask their child to draw what they think the characters or setting look like. This will help children develop their imaginations and creativity even further.
