Born in Lancashire, UK in 1961, the last in a family of industrialists and inventors, pioneers of the Industrial Revolution dating in a continuous line to before 1860. He achieved a BSc (1st) in Pure and Applied Physics at Salford University, UK (1983). He went on to work in the Space Industry for Marconi Space and The German Space Operations Centre near Munich working on various satellite and space shuttle programs.
He then worked as a consultant for DEC, Compaq and Hp in the French Alps, at Annecy, engaged in developing and trouble-shooting complex systems. He created and was CEO of a number of companies involved in consultancy in the telecoms and networks fields, creating various intelligent communications devices for DEC/Compaq/Hp. As part of this work, he travelled around Europe and the rest of the world, with interesting missions in Moscow, Australia and the USA.
His first published book was in the High Horizons series appeared in 2016, followed in 2017 by High Horizons in Switzerland. In 2019 his first major scientific work was published ‘The Origins of Europeans’ by Algora Publishing, New York. He now has 8 titles to his name. He also finished a book revealing the enigmas of the Great Pyramid of Khufu in 2020, which have puzzled Egyptologists for centuries.
Current writing projects including a follow-up to the Origins of Europeans, called the Origins of Religion as well as a book on the Osireion, both nearly finished. In his spare time, he acts in films and TV series as well as ski mountaineering and mountain biking.
Neil Harrison is a polymath, with a wide range of technical skills, including electronics, physics, device drivers, firmware, intelligent communication device drivers, he has worked as a professional photographer and writer since 2003 having sold commercially nearly 50,000 images. To add to these technical skills, he has a deep knowledge of Eurasian pre-history and the Mesolithic Age.
He has also worked as a coach in fields such as local government planning, company management and project management. He was travelled widely around Europe and particularly around the Alps over the last 30 years, having lived in the German Alps, French Alps and currently the Swiss Alps.
